EQUNICO SE has concluded an agreement for the purchase of International Renewable Energy Certificates I-REC(E)
On June 18, 2026, the Company signed an agreement with the Kazakh entity TOO "Lepsy-2 GES" LLP based in the Republic of Kazakhstan for the purchase of I-REC(E) certificates.
As part of the first transaction carried out under the Agreement, the Company acquired 50.000 I-REC(E) certificates originating from hydropower generated in Kazakhstan (vintage 2026).
The agreement specifies the general terms and conditions of cooperation in the field of trading in I-REC(E) certificates, while the detailed parameters of individual transactions (including volume, price and delivery date) will be determined in separate transaction confirmations (Trade Confirmation).
The acquired certificates will be used both within the Company’s own operational activities, e.g. when importing materials (steel structures) generating a carbon footprint to Poland, and for resale to third parties.
